Product Overview:
360A is a gear-driven 3D rotary tank cleaning nozzle engineered for large-scale industrial vessels.
Operating on water pressure alone, it simultaneously rotates on both the X and Y axes, projecting a high-impact jet across every interior surface in a continuous, repeatable pattern, with no blind spots and no manual entry required.
Suitable for tanks up to 20 meters in diameter, the 360A handles the most demanding residues across chemical, food & beverage, petrochemical, and biopharmaceutical applications.
How It Works:
The 360A rotary tank cleaning nozzle operates entirely on cleaning fluid pressure – no external power source required.
Incoming fluid enters through the 2″ inlet and passes a fixed impeller, generating a rotational force that drives a central transmission shaft.
This shaft powers a planetary gear system connected to two bevel gears: one driving Y-axis rotation (horizontal sweep of the main body) and one driving X-axis rotation (vertical sweep of the nozzle arm). The result is simultaneous dual-axis rotation that traces a dense, interlocking helical pattern across the entire tank interior.
Because the rotation trajectory is mechanically fixed by the gear ratios rather than being fluid-dynamic, cleaning coverage is predictable and repeatable across every cycle — a requirement for documented CIP compliance in pharmaceutical and food processing applications.
Key Features:
- 360° Dead-Angle-Free Cleaning
The nozzle body rotates axially and radially along a preset trajectory, ensuring complete three-dimensional coverage. Every cycle delivers consistent, verifiable cleaning results.
- Dynamic Seal Technology
Precision dynamic seals at all fluid contact points minimize leakage to approximately 3% of the total flow, conserving cleaning solution while concentrating the hydraulic impact force on the tank surfaces.
- Enhanced Impact Force
An internal flow-stabilizing geometry concentrates the spray stream into a coherent, high-velocity jet rather than a diffuse spray. This delivers greater mechanical cleaning energy per unit of fluid, reducing cycle time and chemical consumption.
- Independent Gearbox Design
The gearbox is isolated from the cleaning fluid path, protecting internal gearing from contamination and corrosion. This extends service life and simplifies maintenance.
- User-Serviceable Filter
A built-in inlet filter prevents nozzle orifice clogging. The filter is accessible and cleanable without disassembling the unit.

FAQs
Q1. What is the minimum tank opening required for the 360A?
The 360A requires a minimum manway or nozzle opening of Ø290 mm for installation. For smaller openings, consider the K4 series or CYCO-05, which are designed for tighter access points.
Q2. Can the 360A handle aggressive chemical media?
The 360A tank cleaning spray nozzle is compatible with water, weak acid solutions, and weak alkali solutions. The wetted materials, 316L stainless steel, PPS, and Rulon, provide good resistance to mild corrosive environments. For stronger acids or solvents, contact CYCO for a material compatibility review.
Q3. Does the 360A require external power or air supply?
No. The 360A is entirely fluid-driven, powered solely by the pressure of the incoming cleaning liquid. No electricity, compressed air, or external motors are required.
Q4. How long does one cleaning cycle take?
A full cleaning cycle runs 5 to 35 minutes, depending on operating pressure, nozzle configuration, tank size, and soil type. Higher-pressure and larger-orifice configurations complete cycles faster.
Q5. What is the difference between the 360A and the 360B?
The 360B is the larger sibling, handling tanks up to 30.5 m diameter at flow rates up to 45 m³/h, with a female inlet connection. The 360A is optimized for tanks up to 20 m at lower flow rates. Both use the same dual-axis rotation principle.
