Product Overview:
CYCO AF Series Hollow Cone Nozzle is a stainless steel spray nozzle that uses a detachable reflection cap to produce a ring-shaped hollow cone spray with small to medium droplets.
By swapping the reflection cap, the same nozzle body delivers three spray angles — 120°, 150°, or 180° — at 0.7 bar (10 psi), without changing the inlet connector.
Available in 1/8″, 1/4″, and 3/8″ NPT or BSPT male threads, the AF Series covers a flow rate range from 1.1 to 60 L/min across 12 flow codes. It is suitable for chemical treatment, gas washing, metal treating, and spray cooling applications.
How the Reflection Cap System Works:
Unlike fixed-angle hollow cone nozzles, the AF Series separates the nozzle body from the reflection cap.
Liquid exits the orifice and strikes the underside of the cap, which redirects it into a ring-shaped spray. Because the cap, not the orifice, sets the spray angle, AF spray nozzle body can be reconfigured for 120°, 150°, or 180° coverage simply by swapping the cap, without disturbing the pipe connection.
This is especially useful when a process line needs to test different coverage widths or when spare parts need to cover multiple spray angle requirements with fewer SKUs.
Key Features:
- Corrosion Resistant
Available in high-quality stainless steel materials for long service life in corrosive environments.
- Detachable Reflection Cap
The spray cap is field-interchangeable and fits 1/8″ to 3/8″ NPT or BSPT male threads, letting you change the spray angle without replacing the whole nozzle.
- Three Selectable Spray Angles
At 0.7 bar (10 psi), the reflection cap determines a fixed 120°, 150°, or 180° included spray angle for the ring-shaped impact area.
- Wide Operating Pressure Range
Rated from 0.4 bar to 7 bar, the AF Series maintains uniform droplet distribution across low- and medium-pressure systems.
- 12 Flow Code Options
Flow codes from 0.37 to 5 give flow rates between 1.1 L/min and 60 L/min, so the AF Series can be matched precisely to your process requirement.
- Small to Medium Droplet Size
The hollow cone spray concentrates liquid into fine droplets around the outer ring, improving atomization for gas-liquid contact applications.
- Standard Thread Connections
Available with BSPT and NPT male threads for easy integration into existing spray systems.

FAQs
Q1: What spray angles does the AF Series hollow cone nozzle offer?
The AF Series offers 120°, 150°, and 180° spray angles at 0.7 bar (10 psi), selected by changing the detachable reflection cap.
Q2: Can the AF Series reflection cap be replaced without removing the nozzle body?
Yes. The cap is detachable and fits 1/8″ to 3/8″ NPT or BSPT male threads, allowing the spray angle to be adjusted without disconnecting the nozzle from the pipe.
Q3: What is the flow rate range for the AF Series?
Depending on the flow code (0.37 to 5) and inlet size (1/8″, 1/4″, 3/8″), flow rate ranges from 1.1 L/min at 0.4 bar up to 60 L/min at 7 bar.
Q4: What material is the AF Series made of?
The AF series is manufactured in stainless steel for corrosion resistance in chemical, gas washing, and metal treatment environments.
Q5: What is the difference between the AF Series and other CYCO hollow cone nozzles?
AF hollow cone nozzle has a detachable, interchangeable reflection cap to switch between three spray angles on one nozzle body. Other CYCO hollow cone series, such as the AA Series, use a fixed whirl-chamber design with a set spray angle.
