Product Overview:
CY15-180 is a modular rotary tank cleaning nozzle engineered for 180° dead-zone-free cleaning below the tank or vessel opening. Built for reactors, drums, IBC totes, and other enclosed containers that are cleaned through a narrow top opening rather than by full immersion.
Available with electric, pneumatic, or liquid self-driven actuation, CY15-180’s axial and radial axes rotate simultaneously along a programmed trajectory. The resulting crisscross spray pattern covers up to a 12-meter cleaning diameter through an opening as small as 120 mm.
Built from 316L stainless steel and PEEK engineering plastic, the nozzle pairs a low-leakage dynamic seal with a flow-stabilized jet design. Cutting cleaning fluid consumption while delivering greater impact force for a more thorough clean.

How It Works:
CY15-180 rotary tank cleaning nozzle operates through synchronized axial and radial rotation, powered by whichever drive mode fits your setup — electric motor, pneumatic actuator, or the cleaning fluid itself (liquid self-driven).
As the nozzle head moves through its programmed trajectory, its multiple jets sweep the full 180° hemisphere beneath the tank opening, building an overlapping crisscross pattern that eliminates dead zones without submerging the unit.
The result: complete coverage of everything below the opening in a single 4–10 minute cleaning cycle, at working pressures from 3 to 25 bar (up to 200 bar in electric/pneumatic drive mode).
Key Features:
- 180° Dead-Zone-Free Coverage
Synchronized axial and radial rotation sweeps the full 180° below the tank opening without submersion.
- Triple Drive Flexibility
Electric, pneumatic, or liquid self-driven actuation adapts to your existing utilities and pressure supply.
- Low-Leakage Dynamic Sealing
A dynamic seal at the leak point cuts fluid loss while increasing jet impact force.
- Flow-Stabilized High-Impact Jets
A dedicated flow-stabilizing design concentrates the stream for a more powerful, thorough clean.
- Maintenance-Free Operation
A fully sealed housing and self-lubricating internal components eliminate routine lubrication.

Working Pressure vs. Flow Rate:
The chart shows the flow rate output of the CY15-180 across three standard orifice configurations (4ר4, 4ר5, 4ר6) at working pressures from 3 to 17 bar. Higher orifice diameter delivers greater flow volume.
Working Pressure vs. Cleaning Diameter:
This chart illustrates how increasing working pressure extends the effective cleaning diameter
Installation:
CY15-180 connects via its 1-1/2″ BSPP female thread, typically to a flanged spray lance. Thread the nozzle onto the lance, position it at the optimal cleaning height inside the tank, then secure the lance’s mounting flange.
Tip: Install a pipeline filter ahead of the nozzle inlet — cleaning fluid can carry particles that clog the orifices.
Important: Before connecting to newly installed piping, flush the line for 5–10 minutes at ≥3 bar to clear debris that could damage the seals or block the inlet.
Maintenance:
The housing is fully sealed and internal components are self-lubricating — no added lubricant is required.
Flush the nozzle with clean water or cleaning solution after every use to prevent fluid residue from causing internal parts to stick.
If the nozzle won’t turn after extended storage, soak it in clean water or cleaning solution before restarting.
Applications:
CY15-180 rotary tank cleaning nozzle is suited to top-entry cleaning of enclosed vessels where the opening is too small for full immersion but the interior needs complete coverage:
- Chemical Processing — Reactors, process vessels, intermediate storage tanks
- Drums & IBC Totes — Interior rinsing and residue removal between fills
- Food & Beverage — Mixing tanks, storage vessels with narrow manways
- Transportation — Tanker trucks, rail cars, and portable containers cleaned via spray lance
- Any enclosed vessel where full-immersion cleaning equipment cannot be used

FAQs
Q1: What does "180° cleaning" mean for a tank cleaning nozzle?
It means the nozzle cleans the entire hemisphere below the tank opening in a single pass, rather than needing to be lowered to the tank’s midpoint for 360° coverage.
Q2: What drive options does CY15-180 support?
It can run on an electric motor, a pneumatic actuator, or be driven directly by the cleaning fluid itself (liquid self-driven).
Q3: What is the minimum tank opening size for CY15-180?
The vessel opening must be at least 120 mm in diameter, and the unit connects via a 1-1/2″ BSPP female thread.
Q4: What cleaning fluids is CY15-180 compatible with?
Water, weak acid solutions, and weak alkaline solutions, at temperatures up to 95°C.
Q5: Does CY15-180 need regular lubrication?
No. Internal components are self-lubricating and the housing is fully sealed, so no added lubricant is needed.
