- Efficient sealing reduces fluid loss
- Durable materials for long service life
- CIP optimized for automated tank cleaning
Product Overview:
CY15 rotating cleaning nozzle delivers 360° × 360° dead-zone-free cleaning, using simultaneous axial and radial rotation to create a precise and repeatable cleaning trajectory. Its high-impact focused jet design concentrates water pressure for stronger wall impact, ensuring effective residue removal even on stubborn surfaces.
With dynamic seal technology, it minimizes leakage at connection points, reducing fluid waste while enhancing overall cleaning force. Capable of reaching a cleaning diameter of up to 12 meters, it is ideal for large-scale applications such as reactors, fermenters, IBC totes, and tanker trucks.

How It Works:
CY15 rotating cleaning nozzle uses a gear-driven rotation mechanism powered by cleaning fluid flow.
As liquid enters the nozzle:
- It drives an internal turbine system
- The nozzle head rotates in both horizontal and vertical directions
- A controlled spray trajectory is formed, ensuring full tank coverage
Inside the nozzle, the fluid drives both axial and radial rotation, allowing the spray head to move in a precise, repeatable 360° × 360° trajectory. At the same time, the nozzle produces high-impact, focused water jets, concentrating hydraulic energy into strong wall-impact forces.
Key Features:

Applications:
CY15 3D rotating cleaning nozzle is designed for medium to large tanks where high-impact, fully automated cleaning is required. Typical applications include:
• Biopharmaceuticals & Life Sciences — Validated CIP cleaning of fermenters, bioreactors, and buffer preparation vessels. Meets stringent FDA and GMP cleanliness standards.
• Food & Beverage Processing — Effective removal of sugar deposits, yeast, hop residue, dairy protein, and edible oils from processing tanks, mixing vessels, and storage tanks.
• Petrochemical & Chemical Industry — Cleaning reactors and storage vessels containing viscous or adhesive chemical residues. Compatible with weak acid and weak alkali cleaning media.
• Tanker Trucks & IBC Totes — High-impact jets penetrate and clean through a standard manway opening (≥ 110 mm), eliminating the need for confined-space entry.
• Industrial Fermentation — Removes biofilm and fermentation by-products from large fermentation vessels in fuel ethanol, beer, and enzyme production.
Flow Rate & Working Pressure:
The chart shows flow rate (L/min) across operating pressures from 3 to 20 bar for two nozzle configurations: 4×ø6 mm and 4×ø8 mm.
The ø8 mm configuration delivers higher flow, ranging from approximately 110 L/min at 3 bar to 265 L/min at 20 bar, making it suitable for larger tanks requiring rapid coverage.
The ø6 mm configuration provides more controlled flow between 85 and 195 L/min across the same pressure range, making it ideal for applications where water consumption must be minimized.
Cleaning Diameter & Working Pressure:
At 3 bar, the ø6 mm nozzle achieves a cleaning diameter of approximately 4 m; at 20 bar, it reaches up to 13 m. The ø8 mm nozzle starts at ~10 m at 3 bar and plateaus near 19 m at higher pressures.
Select nozzle size based on your vessel diameter and available supply pressure to optimize both coverage and resource efficiency.
FAQs
Q1: What is the minimum tank opening required to install the CY15?
The unit requires a manway or tank opening of at least ø 110 mm.
Q2: Can CY15 3D rotating tank cleaning nozzle be used with chemical cleaning agents?
Yes. It is compatible with water, weak acid solutions, and weak alkali solutions. Contact us for guidance on aggressive chemical media.
Q3: How long does a full cleaning cycle take?
A complete 360° cleaning cycle takes 4–10 minutes, depending on operating pressure and nozzle configuration.
Q4: Which nozzle size should I choose: ø6 mm or ø8 mm?
For tanks up to ~13 m diameter with limited water supply pressure, choose 4×ø6 mm. For larger tanks or when a faster cycle time is a priority, choose 4×ø8 mm. Refer to the performance curves above or contact our technical team.
Q5: Is the CY15 suitable for CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems?
Yes. Its repeatable, programmed cleaning trajectory makes it well-suited for automated CIP integration in pharmaceutical and food processing environments.
