Ruby Core Nozzle
Due to the excellent transparency of high-quality synthetic sapphire/ruby crystal materials in the 0.20 to 5.50 μm wavelength range, with infrared transmittance almost unaffected by temperature changes, optical components made from high-quality synthetic sapphire and infrared-transmitting optical windows have been widely utilized in military night vision infrared transparent equipment, low-temperature laboratory observation ports, and high-precision instruments for navigation, aerospace, and aviation.
Ruby Core Nozzle Characteristics:
1. High Edge Smoothness, High Pressure Resistance, and Wear Resistance:
CYCO utilizes high-precision equipment to grind the ruby nozzle orifice, ensuring that the inner hole smoothness of the ruby nozzle reaches above 0.2, with high edge smoothness, high pressure resistance, and wear resistance.
2. High Hardness and High-Temperature Resistance:
CYCO selects high-quality ruby blanks for nozzle manufacturing, with a Mohs hardness of the ruby selected being above 9.
3. Enhanced Corrosion Resistance, Rust Prevention, and Oxidation Resistance:
The red color of ruby comes from chromium (Cr), mainly in the form of Cr2O3, with a content generally ranging from 0.1% to 3%, and up to 4% in the highest cases. It possesses corrosion resistance, rust prevention, and oxidation resistance, improving the hardness and strength of materials, suitable for manufacturing stainless steel, automotive components, tools, and other important metal components.
Ruby has a Mohs hardness of 9, characterized by its red color. Primarily composed of aluminum oxide, ruby is hard and wear-resistant. In civilian applications, it is used to make jewelry rings, while in industrial sectors, it's mainly used to manufacture bearings requiring exceptional wear resistance, as well as water jet nozzles, high-pressure road marking cleaning equipment nozzles, artificial mist nozzles, 3D printer nozzles, and more.
